The search and rescue operation is ongoing in Ternopil at the site of the missile strike. According to the State Emergency Service, more than 20 people may be trapped under the rubble of the building hit by the Russian missile.
The State Emergency Service specialists will work throughout the night without interruption. The work may be completed tomorrow, November 20. An increase in the number of injured and casualties cannot be ruled out.
According to the latest data, 26 people have died as a result of the shelling of Ternopil. More than 100 people have been injured.
In the building, where two stairwells were completely burned out, there are no surviving apartments left. The flames ignited instantly and the wave of fire engulfed the building. People, in terror, tried to jump out of the windows – rescuers evacuated them using high-altitude equipment. Unfortunately, 19 people died from the fire.

The Russian Federation attacked Ternopil with missiles, resulting in the deaths of 26 people, including three children. As a result of the attack, 73 people were injured, including 15 children. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service have already provided assistance to 150 victims.
In connection with these tragic events, days of mourning have been declared in Ternopil from November 19 to 21.
