US President Donald Trump expressed outrage at the actions of Vladimir Putin, believing that the Russian economy is rapidly heading towards collapse. In a conversation with reporters at the White House, he noted that Russia's involvement in conflicts leads to catastrophic consequences for the country and its international status.
'People are being killed for no reason. Their economy is rolling to hell. They are bombing everything,' Trump said, emphasizing that the Russian army is showing weak results on the front. According to him, Russian troops are capturing 'very little territory, if they are seizing anything at all.'
The president also noted that Moscow is losing control over previously occupied territories, which, in his opinion, undermines Russia's reputation. He stressed that the war should end, highlighting the differences in conflict strategies between the US and Russia: 'If this were our war, we would have finished it in one week.'
Calls to Putin and Erdogan
Previously, Trump urged Putin to stop interfering in conflicts and asked Erdogan to stop purchasing Russian oil. We also recall the three narratives that Putin responded with to Trump's criticism.
In Trump's accusations, one can see an attempt to show the destructive impact of Russia on the international situation and its own economy, emphasizing the negative consequences of the war fueled by the Kremlin. The differences in military conflict strategies between the US and Russia were also highlighted by Trump, pointing to the speed with which actions would be concluded if American troops were involved.
