U.S. President Donald Trump has firmly refused to take a vacation due to active negotiations regarding the situation in Ukraine. He has decided to remain in office and work instead of relaxing at his golf club like other presidents do during this time.
“Usually, this is a time when the president goes on vacation, but not this president. The possibility of him working from Bedminster for a couple of weeks was discussed, but he decided to reject that idea,” spokesperson Caroline Leavitt stated.
Trump on the War in Ukraine and Golf
During an appearance on Fox News, Trump offered a humorous take on the situation in Ukraine, joking that ending the war there would help him enter heaven. He also noted that he seeks to stop conflicts and save lives.
“I hear that my standing isn’t very high. They say I’m at the very bottom of the totem pole. But if I get to heaven, ending the war in Ukraine will be one of the reasons,” Trump said.
It is known that discussions continue regarding Trump’s possible participation in upcoming golf tournaments, as well as the possibility that the last competition may be his final one.
