High-level diplomatic discussions involving the United States, Russia, and Ukraine took place in Abu Dhabi on Saturday. The Russian delegation was led by the head of military intelligence, Admiral Igor Kostyukov.

During the talks, the parties examined Russia's territorial claims in the Donbas region and the situation at the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, which remains a major international security concern. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed the vital importance of fully implementing all agreements reached with President Trump in Davos, particularly regarding air defense systems. "The sides are very close to a meeting between Putin and Zelenskyy," a source said.
