Poland uncovers Russian saboteurs: citizens of Ukraine participated in the operation

Польські правоохоронці виявили групу російських диверсантів, до якої входили українські громадяни.

Ukrainian citizens who were recruited by Russian special services committed sabotage on the Polish railway, reported Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. These two terrorists arrived in Poland from Belarus and escaped back there after committing the crime. One of them already had a criminal record for sabotage activities in Ukraine, while the other was a former prosecutor from Donbas.

During the sabotage acts, some criminals attempted to derail a train using a metal clamp, while others activated C4 explosives that damaged the floor of the carriage. However, none of these plans were successfully executed, and the train did not derail.

However, the Polish authorities already have full information about the perpetrators and claim that such actions are unacceptable. Tusk emphasized that the country has already become a target of terrorist actions from Russia, including arsons, and the sabotage on the Polish railway is not the first case of such events.
