Outstanding 98% Pass Rate Achieved in Extended Wounded Care Course at Ukraine’s 151st Training Center

Вражаючий успіх: 98% учасників отримали сертифікати після проходження розширеного курсу з надання допомоги пораненим у 151-му навчальному центрі України.

Extended Care Training for Wounded Soldiers Successfully Reevaluated

The 151st Training Center of the Ukrainian Ground Forces recently conducted a comprehensive reassessment of their extended care course for wounded personnel, which is a core component of general military preparation. The theoretical exam saw an impressive 98% pass rate, while practical skill tests recorded a flawless 100% success. This evaluation involved instructors from multiple training centers and tactical medicine schools, alongside three platoons of recent graduates from basic military training, conducted at a separate training venue.

High Marks in Practical Skills Assessment

The practical evaluation revealed exceptional competence among the soldiers:

  • 93.8% effectively completed the MARCH+HITMAN scenario;
  • 82.4% accurately administered intramuscular injections;
  • 100% successfully demonstrated all other practical skills.

Training utilized equipment provided by the 'Come Back Alive' charitable foundation, including tourniquets, Israeli-style bandages, and simulators for wound care and irrigation practice.

To further enhance soldier readiness, a new test focusing on tactical pre-hospital care and prolonged treatment has been developed. In June 2025, the government approved a resolution introducing targeted evacuation protocols for the wounded, which will serve as a national standard. This initiative was spearheaded by medical experts from the 12th Special Purpose Brigade 'Azov', the Superhumans Military Trauma Center, and the Ministry of Health.

Additionally, the Army+ mobile app now offers access to the LifesaverSIM tactical medical simulator. Military personnel also benefit from free enrollment in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) courses, which improve knowledge and skills in battlefield medical aid. These programs aim to boost the effectiveness of casualty care and overall troop preparedness.

The evaluation results underscore the high level of medical readiness among service members, a critical factor in modern armed conflicts. Implementing updated standards and providing access to cutting-edge training resources are vital steps toward increasing survival rates for the wounded and strengthening the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ medical capabilities.

In addition to advancements in medical training, the Ukrainian military is also enhancing logistical capabilities, as evidenced by the recent construction of an underground tunnel nearly six kilometers long in Donetsk. This strategic infrastructure aims to facilitate evacuations and transport, highlighting the military's commitment to operational efficiency.
