In Boryspil, Kyiv region, six more apartment buildings have been restored. Thanks to this, over 180 families will be able to return to their own homes. Boryspil, which became one of the most affected localities in 2022, has become a pilot project for comprehensive recovery.
In other words, work is being carried out simultaneously to restore housing, social and transport infrastructure, modernize life support systems, improve the environment, and create modern public spaces. The priorities are inclusiveness, barrier-free access, and energy efficiency. The state plans to scale this model to other communities that have been affected by destruction.
“Boryspil shows that even after the most severe destruction, the community can recover and become stronger. Each reconstructed building is a return for people to their homes. Comprehensive recovery is not just about repairing buildings; it is about creating a modern, safe, and comfortable environment. We are working to ensure that families can return to their homes as quickly as possible and that communities receive a new quality of infrastructure and real opportunities for development,” said Oleksiy Kuleba
Memorialization projects in Boryspil
In Boryspil, memorialization projects are also being implemented. Spaces are being created to remind of people who died as a result of Russian attacks and occupation, and of the military who defended the Ukrainian community. It is important that alongside new life, the truth about the past is preserved.
This set of actions allows not only to rebuild what has been destroyed but to create a full-fledged, comfortable, and safe environment that meets people's needs and ensures the long-term sustainability of the community.
In Boryspil, six residential buildings have been restored, allowing over 180 families to return to their homes. Memorialization projects are also being implemented in the city to remind us of the war victims and heroes who defended their land.
