Czech Teacher's Conviction Over Russia: Court Upholds Verdict

Вирок чеському вчителю щодо Росії підтверджено судом.

Czech teacher Martina Bednarzova has received a suspended sentence and a ban from working with children due to her denial of Russia's crimes in Ukraine. The Czech appellate court has imposed a 7-month suspended sentence and restrictions on her work with students, also requiring her to undergo a media literacy course.

The prosecutor considers this court's decision an important signal in the fight against misinformation about events in Ukraine and Russia's actions. The verdict has caused disappointment for the teacher's lawyer, who plans to appeal and potentially file a constitutional complaint.
