New Dnipro Hub Launches for the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities

A new office for the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities has opened in Dnipro, marking the first such representative center for the organization. This facility is designed to offer legal assistance to internally displaced persons, facilitate communication with local authorities, and develop policy recommendations for the government. The office is located at Soborna Square, 7, in the city of Dnipro.

The Dnipropetrovsk region stands as a vital hub for humanitarian aid, logistics, and economic activity in Ukraine. The work of the Association, led by Ihor Terekhov, underscores the region's strategic importance. Terekhov emphasized that the organization's primary mission is to ensure the voices of frontline cities and communities are heard by the state.

“When we founded the Association, our main goal was to make sure the voices of frontline cities and communities are heard by the state.” – Ihor Terekhov

The new office will also host consultations, public events, and information campaigns. Ihor Terekhov stated:

“We need action. People need to feel in their daily lives that things are changing, that their standard of living is improving.” – Ihor Terekhov

A key part of the office’s work involves drafting proposals for legislative initiatives aimed at supporting the development of frontline areas.

The Association of Frontline Cities and Communities will serve as a center for collaboration with local communities, displaced persons, veterans, business owners, and civil society organizations. Ihor Terekhov stressed the need for active government support, noting:

  • “The heroism of the people cannot replace state policy.”
  • “State policy must be proactive and create conditions where people are not forced to leave their cities, and businesses are not forced to shut down production.”

In this way, the new Dnipro office promises to be a crucial resource for supporting displaced people and fostering growth in frontline regions. It provides a platform for preparing policy proposals that address the needs of the population and regional development. As conflict-affected areas require special attention, the Association’s activities can help improve living conditions and strengthen dialogue between communities and authorities.
