In the city of Ivano-Frankivsk, a group of foreigners was discovered to have ties to scammers from an international criminal organization. During the inspection by law enforcement, 24 citizens of six European countries were released.
It turned out that 7 foreigners violated Ukraine's immigration legislation by staying in the country illegally and avoiding the migration service. The offenders represented the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Georgia.
'I had been hiding for a long time and avoiding contact with the migration officials, but finally, I was discovered,' one of the offenders said.
As a result of the inspection, all offenders were fined 3400 hryvnias each and banned from entering Ukraine for an extended period. The migration service ordered the forced expulsion of foreigners to their countries.
To ensure the departure of the offenders, officers of the National Police and the Migration Service escorted seven citizens to the border crossing points, where the procedure for forced expulsion was carried out.
