Many public transport services in Kharkiv are not operating on November 9 due to shelling

On November 9 in Kharkiv, part of the public transport is not operational due to shelling and problems with power supply. The city authorities reported that the metro has temporarily suspended operations, and several bus and trolleybus routes have changed their schedules or are not operating at all. 

What is not operating in Kharkiv on November 9

Due to the power outage in the city infrastructure, part of the transport has stopped. According to the Kharkiv transport department:

  • Trolleybuses No. 31, 56, 57 — not operating.

  • Buses No. 41, 47, 48, 59, 92, 268 — temporarily canceled.

  • On route No. 272, the intervals have been reduced.

  • Buses No. 20, 22, 33, 57, 62, 67, 72, 99, 109, 140, 243, 273 have extended their route to Constitution Square.

  • Additional buses have been introduced in the directions of 'Industrial' — Constitution Square and along the routes of trolleybuses No. 11 and 27.

The intervals of some trams and trolleybuses have been increased to reduce the load on the lines.

Energy outages and warnings

The Department of Construction and Road Facilities noted that due to unstable voltage supply during the day, there may be interruptions in transport operations. Residents are urged to use alternative routes and consider possible delays.

Situation in the city

Due to shelling, Kharkiv continues to face power supply problems. The city council assures that specialists are working to restore stable operation of the power grid and public transport. Meanwhile, utility services are trying to provide the city with backup power sources to restore transportation as quickly as possible.
