Partial Closure on Kyiv’s Northern Bridge Scheduled for Repairs

Ремонтні роботи на Північному мосту в Києві: часткове обмеження руху.

Traffic Restrictions on the Northern Bridge

From June 26 to June 29, Kyiv will see partial traffic restrictions on the Northern Bridge due to repair work. The restrictions take effect at 6:00 PM on June 26 and will remain in place until 7:00 AM on June 29. Repairs will focus on the bridge section heading toward the Troieshchyna residential area, specifically affecting lanes two and three.

Major Overhaul on Miska Street

In addition, a major overhaul of Miska Street has been ongoing since March. As part of this project, road crews have already installed over 600 meters of new, larger-diameter storm drainage pipes. Currently, work is underway to prepare the road base for future asphalt paving.

Kyiv has also implemented temporary restrictions on heavy truck traffic due to air temperatures exceeding +28 °C. The ban on entry and movement within the city applies to heavy vehicles with an actual weight over 24 tons or an axle load exceeding 7 tons.

The repair work on the Northern Bridge and Miska Street aims to improve Kyiv’s infrastructure and ensure road safety.

These temperature-related truck restrictions are part of measures to preserve road surface quality. Such changes can significantly impact city traffic, so drivers are advised to pay attention to road signs and plan their routes in advance.

As the city undertakes significant repairs on the Northern Bridge, it's essential to stay informed about other critical infrastructure developments. For instance, Bogatyrska Street will also be closed for two weeks due to necessary maintenance work. These simultaneous projects highlight Kyiv's commitment to enhancing its road safety and overall infrastructure, making it crucial for drivers to remain updated on traffic conditions and planned detours.
