This weekend, traffic in Kyiv will be temporarily restricted and access to certain parking zones will be limited due to the charity event 'MHP Run4Victory Kyiv Marathon'. The closures will affect the central streets of the capital and part of Beresteiskyi Avenue. This is reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
On May 16, traffic will be restricted near NSC 'Olympic'
On Friday, May 16, from 10:30 to 13:00, all types of transport will be prohibited on several sections in the center of the capital.
Restrictions will apply:

on Esplanadna Street – from the intersection with Rohnyidynska Street;

on Zhilyanska Street – from the intersection with Velyka Vasylkivska Street.
At this time, preparatory activities for the charity marathon will take place in the area near NSC 'Olympic'.
On May 17, traffic will be changed due to the marathon route
The main traffic restrictions will be implemented on Saturday, May 17, from 08:00 to 15:00.
The marathon route will pass through:

Saksahansky Street;

Halytska Square;
-
Beresteiskyi Avenue;
-
the section near Academician Yangel Street;
-
the area near the Sports Palace.
After turning, marathon participants will move back along Beresteiskyi Avenue and Saksahansky Street to the finish near NSC 'Olympic'.
The Kyiv City State Administration also warned that public transport will operate on altered routes during the event. Details will be announced separately.
Parking will be restricted in central Kyiv for three days
In addition to road closures, parking near the marathon event will also be temporarily restricted.
The restriction will be in effect from 06:00 on May 15 until 24:00 on May 17 at:

Organizers note that the 'MHP Run4Victory Kyiv Marathon' is held to support military personnel, the injured, and veterans. All funds and donations during the event are planned to be directed towards the prosthetics of defenders.
For drivers in Kyiv, this means possible traffic jams in the central part of the city and the need to plan routes in advance for the weekend.
