Kyiv Cultural Events Guide: May 18–24
From May 18 to 24, Kyiv offers a packed lineup of exhibitions, theater productions, concerts, and stand-up comedy shows. Ivan Marchuk—awarded the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine in 1997—presents a 1971 portrait of Bohdan Stupka and three new abstract pieces created in Vienna in 2024.
Also running until June 7 is 'Chornobyl: The Shelter Object,' which covers events from the Chornobyl nuclear disaster to the February 2025 strike by a Russian drone on the New Safe Confinement. This exhibition is hosted at the Ukrainian House (2 Khreshchatyk Street).
