After yet another mass attack by Russia on Kyiv, the capital temporarily altered the operation of public transport. Some tram routes are running with longer intervals, and additional buses have been launched to transport passengers. This is reported by Kyivpastrans.
Tram movement in Kyiv changed after the shelling on July 8
On Wednesday, July 8, changes affected tram routes No. 1 and No. 3. Due to the consequences of the nighttime Russian shelling, they are temporarily operating with increased intervals.
Kyivpastrans stated that the restrictions are temporary. The municipal enterprise urged passengers to take the updated schedule into account when planning trips around the city.
To reduce inconvenience for Kyiv residents, transport operators organized additional bus routes that duplicate tram directions.
In particular, the following buses are on the line:
-
Bus No. 1T;
-
Bus No. 3T.
Temporary buses in Kyiv provide passenger transport
The launch of bus routes is intended to compensate for the increased tram intervals and ensure continuous transport connections for city residents.
The transport enterprise emphasized that the changes will remain in effect until the situation stabilizes and the consequences of the enemy attack are eliminated. Information about returning to the regular schedule will be provided separately.
On the night of July 8, Russian troops launched a mass attack on Kyiv for the third time in a week. According to preliminary information, the occupiers used ballistic missiles and reactive drones. The first explosions in the capital occurred before the air raid alarm was announced.
It should be noted that in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv, emergency rescue operations have been completed at the site of a strike on a 16-story residential building. As a result of the Russian attack on July 2, 31 people died, and 102 were injured.
