In Kyiv, starting from April 1, the option to submit an application for first grade online through the Service Portal has been restored. Parents can enroll their child remotely without visiting the school. This is reported by the Kyiv City State Administration.
The online service allows choosing a municipal educational institution, filling out the application, and receiving a response in the personal account or via email. The entire process occurs without queues and paper procedures.
The main stage of submitting applications will last until June 1. It is during this period that the lists of first-graders are formed. From June 15, additional enrollment will begin for available places that remain after the main admission.
Online registration for first grade: how to submit an application in Kyiv
To submit an application, parents need to provide basic information about the child and choose a school. It is also necessary to prepare documents:
-
medical certificate
-
proof of residence (if necessary)
-
assessment of special educational needs (if any).
Enrollment in the school is conducted according to established rules. First, children who live in the service area of the institution are accepted, as well as those whose siblings already study at this school.
Admission to school in Kyiv: who has priority in enrollment
Priority is also given to the children of school employees and graduates of the respective kindergartens. This approach allows for an even distribution of places and takes into account the needs of local communities.
Valentin Mondryivskyi, Deputy Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, emphasized:
«We are consistently developing digital services in education to make them as convenient and understandable for parents as possible».
He added that online registration provides time savings, transparency of procedures, and equal access to services for every family.
The service was launched last year and became part of the digitization of educational services in the capital. Its restoration is intended to simplify the admissions campaign and reduce the burden on schools during the document acceptance.
Let us remind you that Kyiv is taking steps towards the energy autonomy of schools, providing them with generators and installing solar panels. As part of this project, 50% of the capital's schools will receive generators, which will enhance their energy independence.
