Thousands of homes in Kyiv left without electricity: which areas were most affected

Без електрики залишилися тисячі домівок у столиці України: які райони постраждали найбільше.

In Kyiv and the surrounding regions, work continues to restore electricity and water supply after the massive attack. Head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, reported that in the morning, over 5800 homes were without electricity, and about 7 thousand were without water.

“Over 540 thousand consumers have already been connected, of which 80 thousand were connected in just the last hour,” Tkachenko said.

Water supply has been restored across the entire network, and pressure stabilization is currently ongoing. Utility services emphasize that everything depends on energy supply. The city has water supply points, public wells, and organized water delivery. Transportation is operational, but educational institutions and healthcare centers are working on a modified schedule.

Assistance and work in challenging conditions

Regarding damage to residential buildings, all fires are now under control. Assistance has been provided to 12 affected individuals, and a humanitarian headquarters has been established in the Pechersk district.

“Today, the city's residents continue to amaze with their diligence. Their task is to help. A big thank you to medics, teachers, specialists, and district leaders for their important work in challenging conditions,” Tkachenko noted.

Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenco reported power outages in some regions. As of 7:00 PM, water supply has been fully restored in Kyiv, and water will be available in the taps of the Kirovohrad region by morning. The Cherkasy region has fully recovered, and emergency outages in Donetsk region have been canceled. Work continues on the energy supply for Kyiv.

“Currently, attacks on Kyiv have become much more intense. We must be prepared for the repetition of such events,” Tkachenko warned.
