Migration Communications Center in Kyiv: What Opportunities the Hub Opens

The new center will become part of a European network of consultation hubs, which will also operate in Hamburg, Madrid, and Sofia. Its launch was announced during a roundtable discussion on the role of migration policy in economic security.

The President of the Association, Vasyl Voskoboinyk, emphasized that migration policy is already moving beyond just a social issue. According to him, Ukraine may face a labor force shortage of between 4.5 and 8.6 million people.

The center will provide the following services:

  • reliable information on employment

  • individual consultations for migrants

  • assistance in protecting labor rights

  • support for transparent working conditions.

Transnational Consulting for Migrants: How the System Will Work

The initiative aims to improve conditions for mobile workers who play a crucial role in European economies, but often face risks.

Among the main issues:

  • insufficient awareness of rights

  • risk of labor exploitation

  • cases of discrimination.

In addition to consultations, the hubs will become platforms for training specialists. The project includes:

  • professional training and workshops

  • internships for specialists

  • international experience exchange.

The project is coordinated by the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences in partnership with organizations from Ukraine and EU countries.

Ukraine's participation in this network is not only socially significant. It is also about integrating into the European system of labor mobility and shaping a modern migration policy that will impact the country's economic competitiveness.

Previously, Voskoboinyk explained the factors that may lead Ukrainians not to return home after the war.
