Launch of a Historic Train Service
On June 28, the Kyiv Children's Railway will introduce a special service powered by the narrow-gauge GR-336 steam locomotive, a rare machine from the last century. Running under steam traction, this engine stands out as a unique attraction. Ukrzaliznytsia announced the event, highlighting that passengers will travel through Syretskyi Park at 2 Parkovo-Syretska Street, enjoying the vintage charm of the journey.
Additional Events for Constitution Day
To celebrate Ukraine's Constitution Day, Ukrzaliznytsia is organizing rides on historic steam locomotives, which will include:
- extra carriages to Haivoron;
- charity fairs supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The festivities also feature the first Summer Steam Weekend of 2026 on the Haivoron narrow-gauge railway, scheduled for June 27–28.
From June 26 to 28, the Tourism and Promotions Department of the Kyiv City State Administration, together with the Kyiv Center for Tourism Development, will offer 11 free guided tours around the capital. These include two bus trips and thematic walks focused on the history of Ukrainian constitutionalism. Participation is free, but registration is mandatory due to limited spots.
