Kyiv's municipal enterprise «Kyivpastrans» announced a tender for the purchase of 40 modern low-floor trolleybuses through the Prozorro system, with an expected cost of 1.008 billion UAH. The deadline for final delivery is set for October 1, 2026. This was reported by the publication «Auto Centre».
What kind of trolleybuses does «Kyivpastrans» want to purchase
The tender, published on September 29, 2025, provides for the supply of all-wheel drive trolleybuses longer than 11.9 m, with a fully low-floor design for easy access. Each trolleybus should accommodate about 100 passengers, with 34 seats, including four special places for people with reduced mobility and one for a wheelchair. Among the mandatory equipment:

What are the conditions for participating in the trolleybus tender for Kyiv
The tender winner is required to deliver all 40 trolleybuses by October 1, 2026. Proposals from participants will be accepted until October 8, 2025, and the auction will start that same day at 14:22. A bank guarantee of 10.08 million UAH is required for participation, and after signing the contract – performance security of 0.5% of the contract amount. Payment provides for an advance of up to 70% within 10 days and the rest after delivery.
Kyiv's public transport is going through a tough time due to the war and the aging fleet. Currently, about 700 trolleybuses are in operation in the capital, a significant part of which is Soviet heritage. The renewal program, launched in the 2020s, has already added hundreds of new buses and trams, but trolleybuses remain a priority for maintaining environmentally friendly transport.
