In Kremenchuk, starting from May 1, 2026, the tariffs for public transport are changing. The cost of trips will increase both in shuttle buses and in public transport, and the decision is explained by the rising prices of fuel and maintenance. This is reported by Suspilne referencing the decisions of the city council executive committee.

Travel in Kremenchuk: new tariffs from May 1

The decision to increase the cost was made on April 30 during an executive committee meeting. It was adopted after requests from carriers, who provided economic calculations.

From now on, the prices are as follows:

  • 20 UAH — in trolleybuses and municipal buses

  • 25 UAH — in shuttle buses.

The city council explained that the review of tariffs is associated with the rise in prices for fuel, electricity, and transportation maintenance costs.

Mayor Vitaliy Maletsky stated that the increase does not apply to privileged passengers.

«They have been riding at the expense of the city and continue to do so», — he noted.

Tickets and requirements for carriers

Along with the tariffs, the cost of travel tickets has been updated:

  • 400 UAH — for schoolchildren

  • 450 UAH — for students

  • 1000 UAH — general ticket

  • 1800 UAH — for enterprises.

Carriers are required to adhere to schedules and transportation regulations. In case of violations, including refusal to transport privileged passengers, contracts with them may be terminated.

The city emphasizes that all benefits for passengers remain in effect, and financing for the transportation of such categories is provided in the budget.

Residents' reaction to the tariff increase

Some residents reacted critically to the decision. People say that the increase is particularly impactful for pensioners and those with low incomes.

«Prices are rising, but pensions are not. It is becoming harder for people to move around the city», — said local resident Marina.

Another resident, Halyna Onishchenko, adds that transportation costs are rising sharply, and for many it becomes a serious problem.

Earlier, the city authorities considered lower tariffs as a compromise, but the final decision was made after updating economic calculations.

The increase in tariffs means an increase in daily expenses for residents of the city, especially for those who regularly use public transport.

Let us remind you, Kremenchuk has completed the supply of 18 new trolleybuses with autonomous traction, which will soon be deployed on the city's routes.
