In Kropyvnytskyi, on January 2, public transport will operate according to the weekend schedule, just like on January 1. The number of services will be reduced due to low passenger flow and the involvement of part of the transport to perform urgent tasks in other regions of the country. This is reported by Suspilne.
Transport movement in Kropyvnytskyi on January 2: how many vehicles will take to the routes
According to Mykola Tsyryfa, head of the passenger transport department of the transport management, during the festive days the city does not require a full release of the rolling stock. On January 1, there were 17 buses operating on routes instead of 29 and 26 trolleybuses instead of 32. The same number of vehicles will operate on January 2.
The official noted that the number of passengers during this period is small, so the reduced schedule allows optimizing the transport operation without significant inconvenience for residents.
Why the buses in Kropyvnytskyi operate on a weekend schedule
The municipal enterprise «Elektrotrans» reported that the transition of bus routes to a weekend schedule is related to urgent tasks to ensure the livelihood of territorial communities. They promise to provide additional information about the duration of this regime.
The Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine explained that due to the difficult situation with electricity supply in the Odesa region after massive Russian shelling, there were problems with passenger transport. To support the region, communities from other regions provided their vehicles.
In particular:
- Kropyvnytskyi and Lviv communities sent 10 buses each;
- Mykolayiv and Zhytomyr communities sent 5 each;
- Mariupol and Vinnytsia communities sent 3 each;
- Additionally, the Bilotserkiv community provided transport.
Buses will operate in the Odesa region until full restoration of electricity supply.
