In Kropyvnytskyi, new tariffs for public transport fares have been approved. The most significant increase will be in bus fares, where the maximum ticket price will be 20 UAH. At the same time, the new prices will come into effect only after the launch of transport cards. This was reported by the Kropyvnytskyi City Council.
New fares for public transport in Kropyvnytskyi: how much will buses and trolleybuses cost
The Executive Committee of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council has made a decision to review the tariffs for the communal enterprise «Elekrotrans». The city council explained that the need for an increase is related to the rising costs of electricity, fuel, spare parts, and other transportation expenses.
The tariffs for buses have been set as follows:

electronic ticket – 18 UAH;

personalized privileged transport card – 17 UAH;

paper ticket from the driver – 20 UAH.
For trolleybuses, lower tariffs will apply:

electronic ticket – 12 UAH;

personalized privileged card – 11 UAH;

paper ticket – 15 UAH.
When will the new tariffs for public transport come into effect in Kropyvnytskyi
The city council emphasized that the new prices will not come into effect immediately after the decision is made. They will be implemented only after the transport cards for cashless payment are on sale. Residents will be separately informed about the date of their availability.
The price difference between electronic and paper tickets will be 2 UAH for buses and 3 UAH for trolleybuses. Thus, the city authorities encourage passengers to use cashless payment.
For privileged categories of the population, travel will remain free. The costs for their transportation will be compensated from the local budget, and the list of citizens entitled to free travel will be announced separately.
It is worth noting that testing of the electronic ticket system in public transport has begun in Kropyvnytskyi.
