Germany opposed a ceasefire in Ukraine on the terms of the aggressor country, Russia.
As this will not improve the situation but will be worse for Ukrainians. This was stated by the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Baerbock, as quoted by Deutsche Welle.
'A ceasefire on Russia's terms will not end the 'horror' for people in Ukraine, but quite the opposite,' Baerbock stated.
She emphasized that the war was started by none other than Russian President Vladimir Putin.

'And if Putin wants, the war will end tomorrow. However, unfortunately, there are no honest signs of the withdrawal of Russian troops,' Baerbock stressed.
The head of the German Foreign Ministry also pointed out that the worst situation is currently in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
'Here, there is not only a lack of electricity and heat, but even international aid does not reach. Every day, people live in fear of abductions, torture, and killings by the Russian occupying forces,' she concluded.
Germany has provided Ukraine with additional missiles for the IRIS-T air defense system and other weapons.
They delivered two Bergepanzer 2 armored recovery vehicles, 30,000 shells for 40mm grenade launchers, 5,000 artillery shells of 155mm caliber, four ambulances, and 18 8x8 trucks with a special loading system.
