Protests against mass immigration in Poland

On Saturday, July 19, Poland will hold 80 demonstrations under the slogan 'Stop Immigration!', organized by the Confederation. Counter-demonstrations by leftist groups are also planned. In total, nearly 100 public gatherings are scheduled across the country. This was reported by 'Glavcom' referencing Rmf24.

Confederation's actions will begin at 12:00 local time in major cities such as Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw, Lodz, Poznan, Gdansk, Bialystok, and Lublin. The police urge participants not to break the law. With thousands of people involved, this will be a challenging day for Polish police, as emphasized in a police message on social media.

'At the same time, we appeal to everyone exercising their constitutional right to express their opinion and to organize and participate in peaceful assemblies to remember that this freedom is not unlimited and ends where the law is broken. Such situations require the police to take appropriate measures'

Recommendations from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on citizens to refrain from traveling to Russia due to Russia's ongoing aggressive war against Ukraine. Russia has designated Poland as an 'unfriendly state', which may create risks for Polish citizens' safety on its territory.

It should also be noted that due to repairs of the crossing point on the border with Poland on the border with Ukraine, there will be partial restrictions on vehicle passage in certain lanes until the end of December. The Volyn customs reports an increase in traffic through this crossing point, associated with the holiday season and the ban on the movement of passenger cars through the 'Yahodyn' crossing point.

Protests against mass immigration organized by the Confederation are scheduled in Poland, as well as recommendations from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding refraining from travel to Russia due to its unfriendly actions against Ukraine. The police urge participants in actions to adhere to the law, warning of a tense situation in the country.
