The Russian forces seem to have decided to raise the stakes and have begun to actively use reconnaissance drones in northern Ukraine. According to the chief of the communication department of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, this is becoming particularly relevant during intense hostilities in Sumy and Kharkiv regions.

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have eliminated tens of thousands of Russian drones. However, the enemy continues to massively use various types of UAVs along the entire front line.

This situation has forced Ukrainian defenders to adopt a comprehensive approach to countering enemy drones, including the use of aviation, air defense systems, and drones for interception. The coordination of these tools places high demands on management and distribution of responsibilities, but the Ukrainian military does not neglect this issue.

Another danger is that enemy drones are used in all directions from south to north, indicating their important role in the enemy's operational activities and providing them with information about Ukrainian positions.
