A large plane crash involving two helicopters occurred in Brazil's Rio de Janeiro, claiming the lives of six people. Among the victims was American singer and musician Oliver Tree.

The tragedy occurred on June 14 in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area in southwest Rio de Janeiro. Preliminary reports suggest that two helicopters collided in mid-air and subsequently fell onto a site with electric vehicles.
According to the Rio de Janeiro police, six people were killed as a result of the accident. One of the helicopters had five people onboard, including Oliver Tree, while the other contained only the pilot.
Along with the singer, Argentine blogger and YouTuber Gaspar Prim, known as Gaspi, music producer Lucas Brito Chaves, and two other passengers and two pilots perished.

Oliver Tree was 32 years old. The American artist had nearly 20 million followers on social media and over 11 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
His most popular songs include “Life Goes On” and “Miss You,” which garnered hundreds of millions of plays on streaming platforms.
In early June, the musician performed in São Paulo as part of his world tour. He was scheduled to start the European leg of the tour with a concert in Lisbon on July 1.
A fire broke out at the crash site
After the helicopters crashed, a fire ignited on the site with vehicles. According to rescuers, the flames damaged at least 20 electric cars.
Federal military aviation forces of Brazil are investigating the causes of the disaster through the Center for Investigation and Prevention of Aviation Accidents (CENIPA) and the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC).
Law enforcement officials have already begun gathering evidence and analyzing the circumstances surrounding the collision of the two aircraft.
