Gas supply has been restored in Shostka following extensive Russian strikes on the city's civil infrastructure. This was reported by 'Glavkom', citing a statement from the head of Naftogaz, Serhiy Koretsky.
«Emergency work continued around the clock. Currently, 33 thousand subscribers are receiving gas in full volume again. Supply has also been restored to surrounding settlements – Bohdanky, Obrazhiyivka, Kovtunovo, Myronivka, Krupets, and Shkyrmanivka», – stated Koretsky.
He clarified that gas supply in the village of Voronizh will be restored after repairs are completed at one of the damaged facilities.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko condemned the actions of the Russian army and called for decisive action to protect people's lives.
«This was yet another brutal and cynical terrorist act. And the world has no right to ignore it. Ukraine needs more air defense systems, tougher sanctions against Russia, and decisive actions from partners. Only this can stop Russian terror and save people's lives», – emphasized Svyrydenko.
The city of Shostka and part of the Shostka district in Sumy region were left without electricity due to Russian strikes on October 4. Energy workers are working to restore electricity supply.
After the Russian strikes on the city of Shostka, gas supply has been restored thanks to successful emergency operations. However, the problem with electricity supply remains relevant, as the city and region were left without electricity, and energy workers are continuing their work.
