Ukraine may become the owner of American Tomahawk missiles, which could significantly change the situation on the front with Russia. Former US ambassador to our country William Taylor believes this will be a powerful tool for strikes on the enemy's military targets.
'The Russians have long been using long-range weapons against civilian targets in Ukraine. Tomahawk will allow us to respond to their provocations and hit precisely those facilities that support Russian aggression – military bases, fuel storage tanks, oil refineries.'– explained Taylor.
Tomahawk is a precision weapon that minimizes the risk of accidental strikes on the civilian population. This will allow Ukraine to target only the military facilities of the enemy.
Putin in a Panic
Taylor noted that Moscow is nervous about the strengthening of the Ukrainian army. 'Putin is in a panic, just as he was when Trump imposed sanctions on one of the main buyers of Russian oil – India. This time he is even asking for a meeting with Trump, trying to convince him not to provide Ukraine with Tomahawk,' – said the former ambassador.
According to Taylor, the combination of sanctions and high-precision American weapons creates incredible pressure on Russia. This could force the Kremlin to negotiate a ceasefire in eastern Ukraine.
