Elimination of the consequences of the Russian attack in Ternopil


Deputy Minister Natalia Kozlovska arrived in Ternopil to hold an on-site coordination meeting regarding the elimination of the consequences of the Russian attack. Two multi-apartment residential buildings were damaged as a result of the shelling.



“Together with the city authorities, we work every day to quickly provide support to residents affected by the shelling. We are currently assessing the extent of the damage caused so that every affected family can receive assistance,” Natalia Kozlovska explained.


The meeting outlined priority measures. It is necessary to complete the clearance of debris and ensure safe access to the damaged buildings. Temporary housing has already been organized for affected people, and places for their accommodation have been identified until further decisions are made. The city council has been tasked with conducting a detailed assessment of the damage in each apartment.



After assessing the destruction, the commission will decide whether the apartments can be restored or deemed destroyed. Based on this data, compensations will be established within the framework of the state program “eRecovery.”



Information about the injured and dead


According to the latest data, the number of injured is 73 people, including 15 children. 25 people died from the attack, including three children. The search and rescue operation is ongoing.



In the most affected areas, operational headquarters are working where anyone in need of help or information about their relatives can turn to. All services are operating in enhanced modes to assist the affected.



The Deputy Minister and local authorities are actively coordinating the restoration of damaged buildings and providing assistance to residents. The city council has determined a detailed assessment of the damage in apartments for the subsequent distribution of compensations.
