In three regions of Ukraine - Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, and Sumy - train traffic is complicated due to massive shelling. This was reported by the company 'Ukrzaliznytsia.'
Kirovohrad region
As a result of a night shelling, the railway infrastructure was damaged. The fire was quickly extinguished, there are no casualties, and traffic has been restored on both tracks. However, delays due to the power outage affected four trains:
- 51/52 Odesa – Zaporizhzhia,
- 127/128 Lviv – Zaporizhzhia,
- 7/8 Kharkiv – Odesa,
- 53/54 Dnipro – Odesa.
The total delay is over two hours.
Kharkiv region
Due to restrictions in traffic caused by the shelling, trains to Lozova are taking a different route with delays. Passengers of train No. 92/91 Kramatorsk – Odesa – Kramatorsk were transported by buses to/from Kegychivka station.
Train No. 103/104 Kramatorsk – Lviv also changed its route. Despite the delay and detour, this train successfully conducted the civilian evacuation of 19 passengers with reduced mobility and animals from Lozova.
Today, trains No. 102 Kherson – Kramatorsk, No. 104 Lviv – Kramatorsk, and No. 712 Kyiv – Kramatorsk will operate on a detour route through Merefa with a delay of about two hours.
Sumy region
Train + bus - this logistics system is currently being used. For example, passengers of train No. 787 Tereshchenska – Kyiv will be transported by buses from Krylovech station to Konotop. In Konotop, passengers will be transferred to train No. 779 Sumy – Kyiv.
Recently, hostile drones attacked a railway station in Sumy region. As a result of the attack, two railway workers were injured.
Ukrainian railways are facing complicated train movements due to massive shelling in Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions. Fortunately, there have been no casualties or serious material damage, but delays and route changes are affecting passenger journeys. It is advisable to follow updated information on train movements and prepare for possible changes in your route.
