In Vinnytsia, on October 30, part of the city's transport temporarily stopped due to a massive missile-drone strike from Russia and power supply interruptions. Due to a sharp drop in voltage, trams and trolleybuses could not operate in several areas of the city. This is reported by Suspilne.

Which Vinnytsia routes were affected on October 30

According to the city council, the voltage disappeared on specific routes of electric transport in the areas of Khmelnytskyi highway, Keletska street, the Urzhaï market, as well as on Soborna, Pyrohov, and Kotsiubynskyi streets. This led to the suspension of trolleybus and tram movement on these routes.

The municipal transport company promptly redistributed resources and began deploying municipal buses on the problematic routes to ensure the transportation of people during the peak morning.

Restoration of movement in Vinnytsia on October 30

Transport issues arose after a massive attack by Russia on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. In Vinnytsia, as in other regions, there were drops in voltage and power supply interruptions. However, as of 08:55, the operation of electric transport was restored, according to the department of transport and city mobility.

Routes where voltage disappeared:

  • Khmelnytske highway

  • Keletska street

  • Urzhaï market area

  • Soborna street

  • Kotsiubynskyi street.

The city authorities emphasized that in case of new interruptions, reserve buses will be promptly deployed, and the transport system operates in an enhanced response mode.
