A new option for parents of capital schoolchildren has appeared in the «Kyiv Digital» app. Now adults will receive instant push notifications each time their child validates their student ticket on public transport. The press service of the Kyiv City State Administration reports this writes.
After each trip, one of the parents will receive a message on their smartphone. The app has also opened a separate section with a travel history, displaying the validation time and route number. This allows parents to see when and which transport their schoolchild used during the day.

The Kyiv City State Administration emphasizes that the service works only with the child's consent. Without confirmation from their side, access to the travel history cannot be activated.
To enable notifications, you need to:

open the «Transport Card» section in the child's profile;

specify one of the parent's phone numbers in the «Permission to view trips» field in the student ticket settings;

confirm the connection, after which the data will be synchronized with the smartphone.
App updates: balance between safety and privacy
The city hall explains that the innovation aims to help parents feel calmer, especially in unpredictable situations. At the same time, developers emphasize the need to respect teenagers' personal space.
The updated version of the app is already available for download in the App Store and Google Play.
Previously, the «Kyiv Digital» app introduced a discounted transport card for individuals entitled to free travel. It allows creating QR tickets for surface transport, and certain categories - including people with disabilities in groups I-II and veterans - can also use it in the subway.
Recall that Kyiv was paralyzed by traffic jams due to a snowstorm on February 16-17.
