Zelensky prepares new strikes on Russian territory
President Volodymyr Zelensky stated plans to launch new strikes on Russia together with the Security Service of Ukraine and the Foreign Intelligence Service. The targets have already been defined, confirmed the French publication Le Figaro. The Ukrainian cruise missile FP-5 'Flamingo' has already been used in combat operations nine times and is recognized as one of the best in its category. The 'Flamingo' warhead is twice as powerful as the American Tomahawk, making it a very effective weapon.
Successful use of the 'Flamingo' missile
The Chief Technical Officer of Fire Point, Iryna Terekh, confirmed the successful use of the missile. President Zelensky also noted on his Telegram channel the priority targets for 'long-range strikes' against Russia and emphasized the work on the 'Flamingo' production program despite technological and financial difficulties.
Fire Point is currently producing several 'Flamingo' cruise missiles daily and also plans the development and release of ballistic missiles FP-7 and FP-9. This will be a logical expansion of the Ukrainian missile program. It was also recently reported that Ukrainian forces destroyed 'Oreshnik' on Russian territory, and Maliuk reported successful strikes on Russian oil refineries.
The preparation for new long-range strikes on Russian territory is part of Ukraine's strategy in response to the escalation of the situation in the region. The development of Ukrainian cruise missiles and their successful use could have a significant impact on the further development of the conflict.
