Ukraine successfully returned 65 citizens from the buffer zone on the border with Russia, who were forcibly taken out by Russia. By the order of the President of Ukraine, 65 citizens returned to the country, including 10 women and eight seriously ill individuals. The Minister of Internal Affairs emphasized that Ukrainian authorities would conduct a thorough investigation into the conditions of the citizens' stay in the buffer zone and the actions of Russia.

“We will conduct a thorough analysis of the overall situation regarding the detention of our citizens in the buffer zone and the bloody attempt by Russia to involve Ukrainian citizens in provocations and humiliation. Individual work will be conducted with each of them, which will include legal, medical, and security aspects,” emphasized Klymenko.

For the evacuation of citizens, the Ukrainian government collaborated with various departments, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Justice, the SBU, and law enforcement agencies of Moldova and Georgia. It is worth noting that Ukrainians in Russia must leave the country by 2025 or legalize their stay. This information was published on the official portal of legal acts on March 20.
