Ukraine will join the EU Cybersecurity Reserve

The Vice Prime Minister for Innovation and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov signed amendments to the Agreement on the country's participation in the EU's 'Digital Europe' program for the next seven years. According to information from the Ministry of Digital Transformation, this program provides Ukraine with access to the European Union Cybersecurity Reserve. The document was signed on behalf of the EU by Roberto Viola, Director General of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Connect.



The EU Cybersecurity Reserve is one of the key initiatives under the EU Cyber Solidarity Act aimed at strengthening the digital security of European countries. Now Ukraine will be able to receive operational support from certified European experts in the event of serious cyberattacks on critical infrastructure.


As Mykhailo Fedorov explained, cooperation with the EU will assist Ukraine in the areas of protection, attack diversion, and quick system recovery when needed.



Ukraine has gained access to the EU Cybersecurity Reserve, which provides the opportunity to receive support from European experts in the event of serious cyberattacks on critical infrastructure. This will enhance the country's cybersecurity and help manage cyber risks.
