Energy System of Ukraine During the Heat
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported that, according to preliminary forecasts, the energy system of Ukraine successfully passed the period of record heat in August without power outage schedules. According to the First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Energy Denis Shmygal, this became possible due to adjusting the summer maintenance schedules at power plants, particularly at nuclear power plant units, as well as maximizing the involvement of distributed gas generation capacity and increasing electricity imports.
Shmygal also thanked energy workers for their work, particularly for the repair and restoration of facilities, connecting new capacities, and building protection. He expressed gratitude to Ukrainians for their responsible attitude towards the Ministry of Energy's calls to save electricity and change consumption patterns.

Heat Records and Government Measures
The heatwave that covered the country set temperature records in 13 regional centers of Ukraine. In some cities, the maximum temperature exceeded previous historical indicators by more than 4 degrees. The government also made decisions for more efficient distribution of electrical energy, particularly taking measures for the stable operation of the energy system during the summer peak loads. This situation indicates the effectiveness of management decisions in Ukraine's energy sector, which allowed avoiding serious consequences during extreme weather conditions. Changes in maintenance schedules and increased electricity imports became key factors in ensuring the stability of the energy system, which is important for the country's economic activity. At the same time, the responsible attitude of citizens towards electricity consumption also played an important role in this process.
