Ukraine will open new embassies in 10 African countries.

President Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the need to pay special attention to regions and continents where Ukrainian interests are currently less represented. He stated this during a speech at the annual conference of Ukrainian ambassadors.

Protecting Ukraine's interests is necessary for the well-being of Ukraine and for protection against Russian aggression.

'We are already rebooting relations with dozens of African countries. Next year, we must strengthen this. Ten states in Africa have already been identified where new embassies will be opened,' Zelensky said.

A concept for a Ukraine-Africa trade house has been developed. Its representations will be opened in the capitals of the most promising countries on the continent.

Zelensky believes that Ukraine needs to achieve representation in 30 African countries.

'The global growth and international stability in this century cannot be imagined without relations with Africa and other parts of the global south, Latin America, India, other Asian countries, and in particular, China and Southeast Asia, as well as the entire region of the Indian and Pacific islands. Ukraine must find its leadership format in the strategic processes in each of these regions,' he declared.

An international founding summit of the International Summit on Food Security took place in Kyiv. The summit launches the humanitarian program Grain from Ukraine. This program was initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky, as reported on the president's website. The program involves the purchase of agricultural products from Ukrainian producers by partners and their delivery to countries in Africa and Asia that are on the brink of hunger. This will help form international support for Ukrainian agriculture, protect arable land, and sustain production.
