Brain Drain from Ukraine
Ukraine has entered the list of seven countries with the highest 'brain drain', according to the new rating by The Global Economy. In the wake of the war's consequences, the country ranks 7th in terms of the outflow of professionals. The indicator for Ukraine in 2024 is 8.4 out of 10, which is a decrease compared to last year, when it was 8.9.
The average global brain drain score is 4.98 points. In Ukraine, the outflow of various categories of specialists is observed, including:
- entrepreneurs
- doctors
- engineers
- IT specialists
The situation with 'brain drain' is worse only in Samoa, Palestine, Jamaica, Eritrea, El Salvador, and Somalia.
Challenges for Ukraine
