Overall look at the tournament

Over two weeks, student-athletes from 55 countries competed for the medals of the 2025 Universiade. The top three eventually consisted of teams from Japan, China, and the USA.

It is worth noting that Ukraine entered the top 10 of the overall medal standings of the European Youth Olympic Festival, finishing in 10th place. The Ukrainian team has: 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals. This is the second most successful performance by Ukraine in the history of participation in the Festivals since 1993! The 'blue and yellow' team won more medals only in 2019 - then there were 25 awards.

During the World Summer Universiade, Ukrainian athletes showed high results and won numerous awards, taking a worthy place in the overall standings. Not only the sports achievements but also the positive emotions from participating in such large-scale competitions will be remembered by young Ukrainian athletes for a long time.
