Key Developments from Ukraine's Ministry of Finance

Ukraine's Ministry of Finance has highlighted several major updates in its latest digest. Finance Minister Sergii Marchenko met with outgoing French Ambassador Gaël Veyssière to mark the conclusion of his diplomatic mission in Ukraine. This meeting underscores the importance of Ukraine-France cooperation in the context of financial relations.

Revenue Growth and International Recognition

In the first half of 2026, local budget general funds received UAH 287.7 billion. The Ministry of Finance also ensured the transfer of UAH 38.5 billion in state budget transfers to local budget general funds in June. These figures reflect steady financial inflows at the regional level.

Additionally, Ukraine has entered the top ten of the IIF ranking for portfolio investor relations and debt transparency. The results of the customs visa-free regime for businesses in Q2 2026 are also impressive: a record 56,300 transit declarations were processed.

These developments signal positive shifts in Ukraine's economic landscape, including greater financial stability for local budgets and improved international ties. Cooperation with France, along with progress in debt transparency, could help attract new investments, which in turn would positively impact the country's economic growth. The customs visa-free results demonstrate rising business activity, a key indicator for sustained economic expansion.
