Unity Hub Berlin: A Visit from Ukrainian and German Officials

Ahead of its official opening, the Unity Hub Berlin was visited by Ukraine's Minister of Social Policy, Denys Ulutin, and Germany's Minister of the Interior, Alexander Dobrindt. Germany has provided the premises for this center, which will serve as a vital resource for Ukrainians abroad, offering information on education, employment, business, and access to government services. These hubs are part of a broader effort to support the millions of Ukrainians displaced by the ongoing war.

Denys Ulutin emphasized the importance of creating a trusted space for Ukrainians overseas to maintain a connection with their homeland. He stressed the need for providing verified information and stated:

'We are grateful to Germany for its support and for providing the premises for this Hub. Ukraine continues to work for and stand by its citizens, wherever they may be.' Denys Ulutin

Network Expansion to New Countries

In parallel, Ukraine and its partners plan to expand the Unity Hub network, with new locations slated to open in the Czech Republic and Sweden. The development of these centers will be guided by the specific needs and demands of the Ukrainian communities in those countries.

The inauguration of the Berlin hub underscores Germany's growing support for Ukrainian citizens living abroad. Establishing such resources is a crucial step in strengthening ties between the state and its citizens during a period of global instability. The planned expansion into other European nations demonstrates Ukraine's commitment to ensuring its citizens have access to essential information and services, which can significantly aid their adaptation and integration into new communities.

As Ukraine continues to strengthen its support network for citizens abroad, the recent establishment of the Unity Hub in Berlin marks a significant milestone. This initiative not only provides essential resources but also sets the stage for future developments in other European nations.
