The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved changes to the procedure for serving 'combat' summons. Now, the summons for military service during mobilization can be served to reservists and military personnel not only in person with a signature but also sent by mail. This is reported by 'Gromadske' citing resolution No. 916.

Previously, this was only permitted in person with a signature.

According to the resolution, after undergoing a medical examination and professional psychological selection, the summons may be sent by the regional (city) territorial center for recruitment and social support (TCRS) as a recommended postal item. An inventory of the enclosure and a notification of receipt will be attached to the sending.

Optimization of accounting and conscription processes

This procedure for serving applies to those military personnel who are subject to conscription for military service during mobilization.

We remind you that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has streamlined and clarified certain procedures for military accounting and the conscription of citizens for military service during mobilization. According to the changes, the military rank of 'soldier (sailor) in reserve' will be assigned simultaneously with the enrollment of individuals who have reached the age of 25 and have not undergone military service or basic military training, without their summons to the TCRS.

The relevant changes were approved today by the resolution 'On making amendments to certain resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine regarding individual issues of military accounting and conscription of citizens during mobilization'.

The Ministry of Defense emphasizes that the new rules are aimed at optimizing the processes of accounting and conscription, taking into account the current needs of the country's defense.
