One-Time Payment of 1500 UAH for Ukrainians in April: Eligibility Details

Умови отримання однократної допомоги у розмірі 1500 грн для українців у квітні.

Targeted Aid for Pensioners and Vulnerable Groups

The Ukrainian government is launching a targeted support program for pensioners and vulnerable segments of the population. In April, a one-time payment of 1,500 hryvnias (UAH) will be disbursed to nearly 13 million people. This financial assistance is designed for the following groups:

  • Age-based pensioners
  • People with disabilities
  • Low-income families
  • Recipients of basic social assistance
  • Internally displaced persons
  • Large families
  • Single mothers

First Deputy Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko stated that the funds will be credited automatically through the same mechanisms used for existing pension and social payments—to bank accounts or via Ukrposhta (the national postal service). No applications or additional requests are required.

Fuel Rebate Program and Childcare Assistance

Separately, from March 20 until May 1, Ukrainians can benefit from a fuel rebate program. The rebate rates are as follows:

  • 15% on diesel fuel
  • 10% on gasoline
  • 5% on autogas (LPG)

This translates to potential savings of up to 11 UAH per liter of diesel, about 7 UAH per liter of gasoline, and 2 UAH per liter of autogas. The maximum rebate amount per person per month is capped at 1,000 UAH. These measures are part of a broader government effort to alleviate economic pressure on households.

Furthermore, in early March, the government initiated childcare assistance payments under the 'eYasla' program. This provides a monthly payment of 8,000 UAH to a mother, father, or guardian who returns to work after their child turns one year old. The funds can be used to pay for the services of a nanny, assistant, or kindergarten. These initiatives aim to support families and socially vulnerable groups facing ongoing economic challenges.

The introduced measures are intended to mitigate the socio-economic consequences experienced by the population due to global instability and internal pressures. The aid for pensioners and vulnerable groups, alongside the fuel rebate and childcare assistance programs, underscores the government's focus on supporting those most in need of financial help during a difficult period.

In addition to the one-time payment, the government is also implementing a fuel rebate program to further assist citizens during these challenging times. This initiative, alongside the childcare support measures, reflects a comprehensive approach to easing the financial burdens faced by many households across Ukraine.
