Shoppers in Ukraine using the Temu marketplace have been frustrated by packages being sent to Nova Poshta branches that are not the closest to them. The delivery company stepped in to clarify the situation after a customer from Chernihiv complained that her parcel ended up at the wrong location. Nova Poshta explained that the branch is selected not by its sorting system, but by the Temu store itself. Shipments are routed based on the address provided by the online retailer when it hands over the package for transport.

How to Set Your Preferred Branch?

To address this issue, Temu users can now lock in a convenient Nova Poshta branch for their deliveries. Here is how to do it:

  • Tap your current delivery address in the Temu app.
  • Tap the arrow located to the right of the address.
  • In the 'Addresses' section, tap the arrow beneath your saved address.
  • Enter the Nova Poshta branch number, its address, or the postal code in the search field.
  • Select the desired branch from the list and tap 'Collect here'.

Redirection is free of charge until the shipment arrives at the branch.

One Nova Poshta customer expressed her dissatisfaction by saying: 'And finally fix your stupid automatic parcel distribution system.'

This situation highlights how crucial convenient delivery is for consumers who shop on online platforms. Delivery problems can seriously undermine trust in e-commerce marketplaces, since ease of receiving goods is a key factor when choosing where to shop. Both Nova Poshta and Temu are now working on solutions to better meet customer needs, including the option to set a preferred branch. This move could boost buyer satisfaction and reduce future complaints.
