The company 'Ukrenergo' has proposed a significant increase in electricity tariffs for the next year. According to the published draft, the cost of services may rise by 20% to 823.77 hryvnias per megawatt-hour. Some enterprises in the 'green' metallurgy sector also expect tariff increases of nearly 30%.

The mentioned proposals require approval from the National Commission for State Regulation in the fields of energy and utilities, which is scheduled for the end of 2025.

Last year, the NEURC raised electricity transmission tariffs by 30%, which was less than what 'Ukrenergo' demanded. It is also worth remembering that the distribution of funds from payments for electricity was explained to Ukrainians earlier.

Ukrenergo proposes to significantly increase electricity tariffs in 2026, and separately, a rise in prices for 'green' metallurgy and dispatch management is also planned. These proposals still need to be approved by the National Commission, and the final decision will have to wait until the end of 2025.
