Ukrainian Drones Strike Russian Logistics and Five Shadow Fleet Vessels Overnight

Безжальні удари українських дронів по російським логістичним об'єктам та п'яти суднам тіньового флоту стали вирішальним моментом цієї ночі.

Overnight Drone Attacks Target Russian Supply Hubs

On the night of July 22, Ukrainian drones struck logistics centers in Russia’s Krasnodar and Stavropol regions, which were supplying the Russian military with drone components, navigation gear, and equipment. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed the strikes, stating,

“Today, Ukraine’s long-range sanctions successfully hit important targets in the Krasnodar and Stavropol regions.”

The targeted facilities included Wildberries logistics hubs in Krasnodar and Nevinnomyssk. A state of emergency was declared in Nevinnomyssk after a fire broke out, which took over five hours to extinguish with the help of aircraft. Meanwhile, in the Black Sea and Azov Sea waters, Ukrainian drones struck five vessels belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet—one tanker and four dry cargo ships. President Zelenskyy noted,

“In the waters of the Black and Azov Seas, a tanker and four dry cargo ships of Russia’s shadow fleet were hit.”

Casualties and Aftermath of the Strikes

The attacks resulted in casualties. Krasnodar region Governor Veniamin Kondratyev reported 10 injured in Krasnodar, three of whom are in serious condition. Stavropol region Governor Vladimir Vladimirov reported five injured in Nevinnomyssk. Additionally, an oil depot in Armavir caught fire, with flames spreading across 800 square meters.

Zelenskyy emphasized,

“We are rightfully bringing the war home—to Russia.”
These events highlight the ongoing active hostilities between Ukraine and Russia, as well as new tactical approaches by Ukrainian forces in response to enemy actions.

The strikes on Russian logistics centers and vessels in the Black and Azov Seas point to an escalation of the conflict and a shift in combat operations deeper into enemy territory. These actions may reflect Ukraine’s aim to strengthen its position in the war by leveraging advanced technology for long-range strikes. Such operations could alter the conflict’s dynamics and influence the strategies of both sides in the near future.

These recent drone strikes are part of a broader strategy by Ukraine to target Russian military assets. Similar actions were reported as Ukraine launched attacks across multiple fronts in Russia and Crimea, indicating a significant escalation in the conflict and a shift towards more aggressive operations within enemy territory.
