Ukrainian Powerlifters Triumph at European Championships
Ukrainian athletes secured multiple medals at the European Classic Powerlifting Championships for adults, held in Malta. Competing in the up to 105 kg category, Anatolii Novopysmennyi stood out, claiming gold medals in both the squat and bench press events. He also earned the top spot in the absolute category and secured a silver medal in the full three-lift total.
Another impressive performance came from Taras Melnychuk in the up to 120 kg division. He became the European champion in the three-lift total, while also winning a silver medal in the bench press and a bronze in the deadlift. Liudmyla Bychok, competing in the women's up to 84 kg category, added to the medal haul by taking third place and a bronze medal in the squat.
