Ukrainian Weightlifters Deliver Stellar Performance at European Championships
Ukrainian female athletes have made a powerful start at the European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi, Georgia, securing an impressive haul of eight medals in the first three days of competition. Kamila Konotop was a standout performer, winning three gold medals in the women's 58kg category. In the 48kg category, Kateryna Malashchuk earned bronze medals in the snatch (77kg) and clean & jerk (95kg), and also claimed the European vice-champion title for the total (172kg). Competing in the same 58kg category as Konotop, Olha Ivzhenko secured a silver medal in the clean & jerk with a lift of 120kg. Svitlana Moskvina, competing in the 64kg category, won a bronze medal in the snatch with a result of 98kg.
