Introducing the 'Innovative Prosthetics' Grant Initiative
The Ukrainian Startup Fund, collaborating with Brave1 and supported by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, has launched a grant program titled 'Innovative Prosthetics.' This effort aims to empower Ukrainian developers working on advanced prosthetic technologies, offering funding of up to 8 million UAH.
These grants are designed to facilitate the creation, testing, and enhancement of prosthetic solutions. Funding amounts are tied to the technology’s development stage, with up to 2 million UAH available for idea validation, up to 4 million UAH for producing a laboratory prototype, and as much as 8 million UAH for building a functional prototype or finished product.
Program Priorities and Implementation
The program focuses on innovators developing prosthetics for upper and lower limbs, including bionic, electronic, and mechanical systems. It also targets innovative prosthetic components such as electronics, drive mechanisms, battery systems, and mechanical parts. Additionally, the initiative supports customized and personalized prosthetics solutions, incorporating technologies like 3D printing.
Managed by the Innovation Development Fund, the Ukrainian Startup Fund oversees civilian innovation projects, while Brave1 handles defense-related developments. Applications to participate in the grant program can be submitted through the Ukrainian Startup Fund’s official portal.
